United Way would like to introduce our Chairman of the Board, John Gallaher. Thank you, John, for your work in helping us build united communities in Aotearoa New Zealand. 

John joined Forsyth Barr Dunedin in 1985. He has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry in investment advising, commercial and chartered accounting, management and banking.

John is an Authorised Financial Adviser (2011) and was accredited as an NZX Advisor in 1992. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago, majoring in Accountancy and Information Systems. John is an Associate Chartered Accountant, a Chartered member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand and an Associate of the New Zealand Institute of Management.

John is the Board Chair (since 2011) of United Way New Zealand and is a champion of Advancing the Common Good for all New Zealanders.
