Thank you to JCDecaux

The Catalytic Foundation would like to thank JCDecaux for sponsoring $300,000 worth of billboard advertising for us. We can't wait to see our name in lights and gather community support for our campaigns!

JCDecaux's support will enable us to raise community awareness about our brand and, most importantly, our community campaigns, like the Christmas Shoebox Project and Backpacks4Education.

  • The Christmas Shoebox Project is run annually. We provide between 3,000-5,000 boxes filled with new toys, clothes, household essentials (toothbrushes, toothpaste), books, and school supplies to families living in hardship across Aotearoa. We work alongside over 115 charities nationwide to identify the families that need these special boxes for their children.
  • The Backpacks4Education campaign is run annually at the beginning of the year. This campaign involves providing backpacks filled with essential school items, like a lunchbox, a drink bottle, a filled pencil case, workbooks, and other essential items to the charities we work alongside who have identified this as a need. Often the charities that receive these backpacks are assisting families who have suddenly found themselves homeless or fleeing family harm situations with their children and unable to take any belongings with them. We are able to give these charities backpacks so the children can get established into a new school and a familiar, comforting, routine as quickly as possible.

Hopefully this exposure enables us to gather more donations of new toys, household items, books, and clothing from both individuals and also businesses. We will start advertising our Christmas Shoebox Campaign on billboards across the country in just over a month.

Teresa Moore, CEO of the Catalytic Foundation, says “This support from JCDecaux will be instrumental in increasing awareness around the important campaigns we run across Aotearoa, like Backpacks4Education and the Christmas Shoebox Project. With this increased awareness we hope to gather more donations for our campaigns, which will enable us to provide vital support for families living in hardship across Aotearoa.”
